About Me
Based in Melbourne, Victoria, I graduated from Deakin University with a passion for research and an Honors in IT Security which allowed me to publish a research paper with the completion of my Theses.
While my work career has taken me overseas, I have always used this as an opportunity to make new friends, explore other cultures, and spend plenty of time outdoors.
When not at work you can find me at the beach when the surf allows it, kiteboarding on a windy day, or heading to the mountains for some backcountry snowboarding. I find that spending time in nature is the perfect way to recharge and get inspired for solving complex problems back at work.
Having said that, I also enjoy spending time on the Home Lab and designing functional prints in Solid Works for around the house.

How I prefer to communicate
Direct and concise. I prefer async written communication for complex topics and face-to-face for decisions and feedback.
What I need from others
Be direct with me — I value clarity over diplomacy. If something isn't working, tell me straight and we'll fix it together.
How I work in a team
I naturally gravitate toward enabling others — removing blockers, building shared tooling, and making sure the team has what it needs to move fast. I prefer to lead from the front.
How I handle conflict
I address issues head-on rather than letting them fester. I focus on the problem, not the person, and aim to find resolution quickly.
What motivates me
Solving problems that have real impact. Seeing a team ship faster and more confidently because of the infrastructure and tooling I've put in place.
What slows me down
Vague requirements, slow decision-making, or repeated manual processes that should have been automated yesterday.
Outside of Work
Surfing
I've been surfing for over 20 years. I wouldnt say I'm great but I take every opportunity to get in the water. Ive spent too much money on surfboards.
Kiteboarding
Melbourne is blessed with an abundance of wind. Being in such close proximity to the beach it made kiteboarding a perfect pastime. When the conditions are less than ideal for surfing they are usually perfect for the kite.
Snowboarding
Snowboarding has been a massive passion of mine. For the Australian winter I'll be at Mt Hotham or Falls Creek. During the northern hemisphere winter I am either in USA, Canada or Japan.
Camping & 4WD
I always try to get away for some 4x4 and camping, I have driven to all 4 points of Australia. I enjoy getting away to Robe, SA and the Victoria High Country for some down time.
HomeLab
I always enjoy tinkering with projets and services at home. It allows me to explore new techonology and break things without any conseqences.
3D Printing
Designing functional and practical parts in Solid Works and 3D printing them at home. if something can be improved, fixed or built from scratch is probably getting modelled and printed.
